Ontario, CA–The Agua Caliente Clippers fell to the Sioux Fall Skyforce, 117-112, on Wednesday at Citizens Business Bank Arena. With the loss, the Clippers are now 7-6 on the season.
Turnovers plagued the Clippers, as they committed 10 in the first half and trailed by 13 at halftime, but the Clippers were able to close the gap in the fourth quarter. Sioux Falls led by as many as 10 in the final frame, but Andre Dawkins completed a four-point play to spark a 15-3 Clippers run with just over 10 minutes left to play. The Clippers led 100-99 before Sioux Falls hit back-to-back shots with under two minutes to play and then consecutive three-pointers to put the game out of reach.
Seven Clippers scored in double-figures, led by Tyrone Wallace, who had 28 points and 9 rebounds. Dawkins contributed 13 points, and was 3-for-5 from distance. Brice Johnson, back in Ontario after three games with the LA Clippers, nearly missed a double-double, as he had 11 points to go with 9 boards.
The Clippers take on Northern Arizona in their second meeting of the season on Friday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena in a 7 p.m. tip. The first match-up between the two teams saw the Clippers win, 125-115.
