Both teams were evenly matched throughout the night, exchanging leads 12 times and tying 12 times, including at the end of regulation. South Bay led by as many as eight points with 3:28 the second quarter but saw their lead quickly dwindle as Agua Caliente retook the lead just under 2 minutes into the second half. Agua Caliente would end up leading by as much as 10 late in the fourth quarter.
The Lakers had three players record double-doubles. Two-way player Johnathan Williams finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds, forward Jemerrio Jones scored 16 points and led the team with 16 rebounds, and guard Scott Machado added 22 points to go along with 11 assists.
