Ontario, CA—The Agua Caliente Clippers fell to the South Bay Lakers at home on Thursday night, 119-93. With the loss, the Clippers are 18-21 overall, but hold a 2-1 lead over South Bay in the season series.

In the first game back after the All-Star break, Agua Caliente was quiet on offense in the first half and South Bay wasted no time taking advantage of the Clippers’ slow start, taking a 10-point lead into the second quarter. The visitors managed to extend their lead to 19 before the break, thanks to 57 percent shooting from the field in the first half. The Clippers went on a brief run midway through the third quarter to cut the deficit to 16, but the Lakers responded with five quick points to defuse the threat.

Tyler Roberson led the Clippers with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Ike Iroegbu added 15 points and nine assists. Recently-acquired guard Tim Quarterman went for 10 points in his Clippers debutand Dakarai Allen added 14 points and five boards. J.J. O’Brien scored 14 points, while Keith Steffeck added 10 to round out the Clippers’ scoring effort. DeAndre Daniels pulled down a team-high six offensive rebounds and had nine boards total.

The Clippers return to action Monday night at home, as they take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce in a 7 p.m. tip (PST). Fans can stay up-to-date on team news by following the team on Twitter (@ACClippers) or visiting Full season membership, group, and single tickets for the 2017-18 Agua Caliente Clippers season are on sale now.
