New Orleans Pelicans Sign Trey Alexander and Hunter Dickinson to Two-Way Contracts

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed guard Trey Alexander and center Hunter Dickinson to two-way contracts. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Alexander, 6-4, 185, was named the 2024-25 Kia NBA G League Rookie of the Year after a season in which he averaged 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 36.7 minutes per contest while converting .462 from the floor, .422 from three-point distance and .802 from the foul stripe in 22 regular games (all starts) for the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets’ G League affiliate. The Creighton University product also appeared in 24 games during the 2024-25 NBA season for Denver, averaging 1.3 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 4.9 minutes per game.

A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Alexander spent three collegiate seasons with Creighton, averaging 12.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 107 career games (85 starts).

Dickinson, 7-2, 265, averaged 17.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 blocks in 34 games (all starts) in his senior year at the University of Kansas en route to being named to the 2024-25 AP All-America Third Team and the 2024-25 USBWA All-America Third Team. He scored in double figures in 32 games and posted a double-double in 16 games.

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Dickinson appeared in 161 games (156 starts) over five collegiate seasons between Michigan (three seasons) and Kansas (two seasons), averaging 17.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game.
